ESN TUMi supports international students in arriving in the TUM community

A TUM Student Club (not only) for internationals

Starting at a new university and in a new city can be challenging. This is especially true for international students. So it's all the better if there are fellow students who can help them arrive on campus and in the community. With a diverse and comprehensive program, the ESN TUMi network helps internationals find their way around campus and network with other students.

More than 4,000 international students come to TUM every year, whether for a whole degree program or just for an exchange semester. Together with the TUM Global & Alumni Office, ESN TUMi, the Erasmus Student Network at TUM, wants to make it easier for them to get started and further enliven the colorful community of international and local students at our university.

International spirit and mutual understanding

The association is all about international spirit, tolerance in all facets of culture and the fostering of international understanding. To this end, tutors accompany their fellow students during their stay in Germany. They not only support them in questions concerning the organization of their studies or life in Munich, but also organize numerous and very different events. They range from orientation weeks for new students and exchange students via joint cultural activities, city trips and hikes to pub quizzes, game nights and sports.

Around 600 events with over 15,000 participants are held in a single year – and they are not just for international students, but also for locals. The program is organized via the ESN-TUMi app. Here, all those interested can register for all events and become part of the ESN-TUMi network.
