As science manager, you make a significant contribution to achieving top performances in research and teaching at TUM. You take on essential interdisciplinary management and leadership tasks in schools and research centers, as well as in central and university departments and are responsible for impactful co-creation and content design processes.
ScienceManagement@TUM aims to support you effectively and sustainably in your management and leadership role, to strengthen your self-efficacy as a science manager, to empower you both professionally and personally, and to foster a collective professionalization of science management at TUM.

Content
A career in science management has become an increasingly attractive option. But what does working in science management actually involve? What are the requirements and career prospects? And how can one successfully enter the field?
This workshop is aimed at doctoral candidates and postdocs who are interested in pursuing a career in science management.

Structure
PD Dr. Kristin Knipfer will present examples of career paths in science management, drawing on research findings and their own professional experience. Through exercises and discussion rounds, you will reflect on whether science management is an attractive career option for you. You are warmly invited to bring your own questions and discussion points.
