TUM Talent Factory
The TUM Talent Factory is the first point of contact for all early career researchers at TUM and for external postdocs who want to realize a research project at our university. It offers individual advice on research funding, organizes further training, and coordinates funding programs for postdocs.

TUM Global Postdoc Fellowship
Postdoctoral researchers who are currently conducting research abroad can apply for this fellowship to carry out a research project at TUM for two years. The 2025 call will open shortly and the deadline for applications is April 13, 2025 (23:59 CET). There will also be an info session on March 25 (14:00 CET) (Registration is required.).

Here you can find open positions at TUM
To come to TUM as a postdoc, you need a host professor to support you professionally. You can use our professor profiles to find a host who matches your scientific research area. You are welcome to send them a complete and informative application with a CV and a clearly formulated proposal for a research project. TUM Junior Fellows can also serve as host professors.
- Accomodation Service
This university service facility offers international postdocs and visiting professors support in finding accommodation in Munich and Garching.
- International Dual Career Network
The International Dual Career Network Munich (IDCN Munich) is a network of Munich-based organizations from science and business. Dual Career Partners can actively build up their professional network locally and come into direct contact with HR managers from other member companies at career and networking events.
Development opportunities at TUM
European Talent Academy
The program is a joint initiative of TUM and its partners Imperial College London (Imperial) and Politecnico di Milano (PoliMi). It supports young research talents in their careers, for example through contacts in politics, the establishment of an EU-wide network and workshops.
TUM Junior Fellows
Our university awards this title to junior researchers who have acquired independent, third-party-funded junior research groups at TUM in highly competitive programs. This allows them to be first reviewers for doctoral projects.
Services
At TUM Forte, our scientists receive comprehensive advice on research funding and technology transfer and receive support in acquiring third-party funding.
TUM Research Data Hub is the central research data support at TUM. By providing consultations, training, networking events, infrastructure solutions, and tools, the Hub supports TUM researchers in all phases of the research cycle.
The cooperation between the Research Data Services of the University Library and the Munich Data Science Institute (MDSI) offers practical, high-quality solutions for sustainable research data management.

The TUM Language Center offers courses in 17 languages, workshops on intercultural communication, coaching programs, writing assistance in German and English, tandem programs, and more.

TUM Leadership Toolbox
The toolbox contains practical handouts, literature, and TUM guidelines on leadership. The resources are organized according to typical leadership challenges in science and are available to employees free of charge.
The University Library is your service partner for media access, information provision, research data management, and scholarly publishing. Benefit from individual consultations, training, and courses free of charge.
Career paths
The program is a new, structured qualification offer specifically for mid-level academic staff. Five career paths are offered, depending on the interests and skills of the participants: TUM Researcher, TUM Learning Professional, TUM Science Manager, TUM Entrepreneurship Advisor, and TUM Technical Expert. The program offers clearly described fields of activity and demonstrable competencies, also regarding attractiveness for the external job market, a career in the university and science system, or non-academic areas.
