Further bodies of the Bavarian School of Public Policy commence their duties

Bavarian School of Public Policy: new Senate and Board of Trustees

Two new respectively newly appointed bodies of the Hochschule für Politik München (HfP) - Bavarian School of Public Policy have commenced their duties - the Board of Trustees and the Senate. The HfP will focus on the interaction between politics, society, the economy and technology. The Technische Universität München (TUM) is the HfP’s supporting university since December 2014.

After the Act on the Hochschule für Politik München (HfP) - Bavarian School of Public Policy and the constitution of the HfP entered into force on December 1, 2014 and January 1, 2015 respectively, the Senate and the Board of Trustees (Hochschulbeirat) have now been newly appointed respectively newly constituted. The composition of the bodies is set out below:


Senate:

Employee representatives will be admitted to the Senate on October 1, 2015.

Board of Trustees (Hochschulbeirat):

Employee representatives will be admitted to the University Advisory Board on October 1, 2015.

The Senate decides upon the legal regulations to be adopted by the HfP with the exception of the constitution, provides advice on the study programs offered and decides, in accordance with the examination regulations to be adopted by the TUM, on the range of study programs which the Senate ensured in cooperation with the Rector.

The Board of Trustees decides upon amendments to the constitution in agreement with the TUM President, elects the Rector based on a proposal from the TUM President and appoints the Administrative Director in agreement with the Chancellor of the TUM. The Board of Trustees decides upon the study programs (in agreement with the TUM President) and adopts the budget and employment plan and the financial report.
