TUM Skills Excellence Program
The TUM Skills Excellence Program was open for all TUM students who completed their master's degree no later than the beginning of the summer semester 2021.
With this program, graduates of TUM Master's programs were able to continue to develop their specialist knowledge and interdisciplinary skills after graduation. Upon successful completion of the TUM Skills Excellence Program, participants receive a certificate.
Enrollment in the TUM Skills Excellence Program is no longer possible from the winter semester 2021/22. However, students who enrolled in the program in the summer semester 2021 can complete it in the winter semester.
The TUM Skills Excellence Program is a structured program for further qualification after obtaining the Master's degree. Students can enroll in the program for up to two additional semesters and earn credits. Upon successful completion of the program they will receive the TUM Skills Excellence Certificate.2020/21. Participation is open to graduates of TUM Master's programs who completed their studies in the winter semester 2020/21 or at the beginning of the summer semester 2021 (i.e. before 14.05.2021).
In order to get the TUM Skills Excellence Certificate you have to earn a total of 30 credits:
- at least 10 and a maximum of 20 credits from subject-related modules of your previous Master's degree and
- at least 10 and a maximum of 20 credits from modules outside your previous Master's program, such as:
- subject-related modules from other master's programs for in-depth study beyond your own master's program, for example from Data Science, Robotics or AI
- modules from the humanities and social sciences, behavioral sciences or economics or
- interdisciplinary modules, for example from TUMentrepreneurship, courses WTG@MCTS, EuroTech Challenges or the TUM Language Center.
Additional credits earned in the master’s examination may be applied to the TUM Skills Excellence Program in a maximum amount of 15 credits.
If you have completed these credits, you can apply for the TUM Skills Excellence Certificate at the student office of your faculty or school (Download: Application for the Certificate, PDF 0.6MB). The TUM Skills Excellence Certificate is only issued upon request.
