Course offerings in aerospace, finance, information engineering, and sustainable management
New degree programs in the winter semester
Bachelor in Aerospace
The development of numerous future technologies is shaping aerospace, from air cabs to measuring climate change from space. While working towards the Bachelor's degree, students learn to solve complex technical problems in the various fields. The program covers all relevant subject areas, including structural mechanics, material sciences and thermodynamics as well as electrical engineering and information technologies. Close partnerships with companies based in Bavaria's "Space Valley" facilitate an early practical orientation.
Course language: English, Primary course location: Garching, Application deadline: July 31, 2021
Master in Finance and Information Management
The program combines finance management and information management as well as economy and technology in the future-oriented field of digital finance. Participants study the development of digital technologies in finance as well as management of the digital transformation and disruption of the financial sector. An important part of the curriculum covers technologies for the processing, analysis and preparation of data. Students are familiarized with the corporate career landscape in workshops and practice-oriented projects with companies. The Master's program is intended for students with Bachelor's degrees in the economic and social sciences, business engineering, information technologies, mathematics and related fields.
The previous degree program Finance and Information Management, which was conducted by several universities, has been completely redesigned and is now offered by TUM together with the University of Bayreuth.
Course language: English, Course location: Munich, Application deadline: May 31, 2021
Bachelor in Information Engineering
New digital technologies are opening up more and more ways for companies to capture, network and analyze information. Information engineering looks at the entire chain, from the sensor to the IT system through to the business model, and is thus an important building block in the digital transformation. Students learn to develop such holistic IT and business systems. In addition to content from informatics, the curriculum particularly incorporates business sciences and electrical engineering.
The program is the first offering in the field of informatics at the TUM Campus Heilbronn, which was founded in 2018.
Course language: English, Course location: Heilbronn, Application deadline: July 31, 2021
Bachelor and Master in Sustainable Management and Technology
Technological questions such as the redesign of production processes are often decisive for companies transitioning to climate-neutral and sustainable management. This structural transformation calls for experts trained in business economics, including sustainable concepts like circular economy, and with a thorough knowledge of energy and process technologies, biotechnologies and material sciences. The interdisciplinary degree programs unite these areas with an international perspective.
