TUM Supervisory Award 2019

The Head of the Bioseparation Engineering Group was selected in a three-stage selection process involving 59 other candidates.
Prof. Berensmeier conducts in the field of new biofunctional materials and process development for the separation of biotechnologically produced low and high molecular weight biomolecules. Her focus is on magnetic and conductive materials and on process simulation.
Respectful relationship
All doctoral students at TUM were able to nominate their supervisor.
The prize is awarded by the TUM Graduate Council and comes with a prize money of 5,000 EUR. The patron is President Prof. Thomas F. Hofmann. With this prize, the Graduate Council would like to draw attention to the importance of a reliable, serious, and respectful relationship between the supervisor and the supervised person.
New nomination round in 2020
Following the first two successful rounds of awards, the TUM Graduate Council will soon open the nomination phase for 2020. From January 1 to February 28, 2020, doctoral candidates will be able to nominate their supervisor for the Supervisory Award – by an email to their graduate center. In a multi-stage selection process, the TUM Graduate Council will decide on the best supervisor (until June 2020), based on the criteria listed in the Graduate Council position on good supervision.
