Open House Campus Garching October 3

Discover and try things out: We have invited you to experience research up close for a whole day.

Aerial view of the Garching research campus in 2021.

At the Garching research campus, visitors were invited to experience science in lectures, hands-on activities, guided tours and much more. Whether young or old, there were numerous activities for every one on this day: students, staff and external guests. In addition to TUM, many other research institutions such as the Max Planck and Fraunhofer Institutes took part in the day of action.

Lecture series "Digital Twin in Engineering and Design"

  • Wednesday, 10/16/2024 - Wednesday, 2/5/2025

Event location
Munich main campus

Public event

Come to the weekly lecture series "Digital Twin in Engineering and Design" on Wednesdays and get an overview of contemporary research topics and practical use cases of the digital twin as well as emerging technologies such as multi-agent systems and large language models in engineering and design.

Lecturers from different chairs and schools of international universities as well as from industry will provide insights into:

  • the diverse aspects and application areas of digital twins, multi-agent systems and large language models from production to robotics, machine tools, logistics and (control) software development
  • (design) technical challenges associated with the development of standardized digital twin and multi agent systems.
  • the potentials of using digital twins, multi-agent systems, large language models and their combinations, from risk analysis prior to plant commissioning to operational collaboration with humans using augmented reality or active usage with an executable digital twin
