Festival of innovative food production at the TUM Weihenstephan Campus
Farmvision Festival on May 6
The Hans Eisenmann-Forum for Agricultural Sciences invites you to the Farmvision Festival on May 6, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) Weihenstephan Campus. Numerous activities and lectures provide an insight into the future of food production: What is agriculture doing to become more sustainable? How is arable farming being adapted to climate change? How are plants from peatland being turned into packaging? These and many other questions about the future are the focus of numerous hands-on activities at the Farmvision Festival. Visitors can also find out about innovative technologies such as vertical farming and TUM’s research farms. In addition to TUM researchers, partner institutions such as the Landesanstalt für Landwirtschaft (LfL – Bavarian State Research Center for Agriculture), EIT Food, and the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging are also involved. For children, there will be a tractor bouncy castle, a robotics course, and milking competitions. Food trucks will ensure that nobody goes hungry.
