FISU World University Games

Eight students compete at Winter Games in Turin

Eight TUM students are competing at the FISU World University Games in Turin, which opened on Monday. The Winter Games under the motto "Land of Sport" run until January 23.

1,655 top student athletes from 54 nations are taking part in the Winter Games organised by the Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU). Eight of the 53 German athletes are from TUM:  

  • Niels Conradt: snowboard (boardercross)
  • Finn Hösch: Ski mountaineering (sprint, vertical)
  • Umito Kirchwehm: snowboard (boardercross)
  • Philipp Schmid: Alpine skiing (giant slalom, slalom)
  • Daniel Schuller: Alpine skiing (super-G, combined, giant slalom, slalom) 
  • Kim Sutor: Curling (mixed doubles)
  • Vincent von Steun: Alpine Skiing (combined)
  • Cosmo Taniguchi: Snowboarding (race)
