TUM University Library
Book a learning place online
Services at the circulation desks can be used from August onwards without prior appointments.
Study desks in the branch libraries
If you want to study in the library, you must reserve a place in the branch library of your choice one day in advance. Due to distancing regulations and restrictions of group sizes in closed spaces, the number of places available is still limited. Out of consideration for your fellow students, please do not book more than two reservation slots per week and please cancel your reservation if you do not need the place you have booked.
Services at the circulation desk
From 3 August onwards, you no longer need to make an appointment for services at the circulation desks. You can visit all branch libraries spontaneously and, among other things, borrow pre-ordered media, return books, or pick up interlibrary loans. You must pre-order literature via the OPAC. At present, you cannot fetch literature from the shelves in the reading rooms and textbook collections yourself.
The University Library continuously adapts its services to the current state of the Corona pandemic. To protect the health of everyone, safety regulations must still be observed. Therefore, special library rules apply, especially with regard to mouth-and-nose covering and distancing rules.
Please inform yourself about current developments and regulations in detail on the website of the University Library before you visit the library.
