Human Anatomy Atlas

The human body in 3D

The University Library has purchased a license for the Human Anatomy Atlas by Visible Body®. The interactive atlas contains over 6,000 anatomical structures of the human body in the form of 3D models that can be rotated, zoomed, and dissected.

Often, drawings are not enough to get a complete picture of organs, skeletons, muscles, nerves, and vessels – and of their complex interplay. Therefore, the University Library purchased a license for the Human Anatomy Atlas, a database of macroscopic 3D anatomies and selected micro anatomy representations of sensory organs and tissue types.

For each part of the body, there are definitions, Latin names, and further descriptions of possible diseases and injuries. The quiz function might be especially interesting for students: it offers more than 1000 questions, for you to test your knowledge and to prepare for the next exam.
