The postage stamp depicts three characteristic buildings symbolizing the history of TUM: the intricate Oskar von Miller Tower of 2010, which collects weather data for research at the Garching campus; the 1916 Thiersch Tower, the characteristic symbol of the historical Munich main campus; and the legendary Atomic Egg, Germany's first research reactor built in 1958.
A "special post office" will offer the postage stamp, the first day of issue cancellation and the envelope on April 12 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm in front of the matriculation hall in the main building on the Munich campus.
