Five years ago, a virus changed the world - and we are still feeling the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic. Many people felt that vaccination and compulsory masks were intrusive and that school closures were unnecessary, and mistrust of the state has grown. What lessons can be learned from dealing with Covid-19? What role can and must science play in global health crises? How can its findings be translated into policy? And how can society be involved? Join the discussion!

After agriculture and climate, health is the topic of the last evening of our three-part event series on scientific policy advice. Health policy must act at the interface between a very private matter such as one's own body and social issues of care and prevention. In addition to dealing with pandemics and diseases of civilization, health policy must also find solutions for the growing costs of care in an ageing society. With the Future Evening, we are offering a platform to discuss the role of science and the participation of society together with the audience and speakers.
