Lessons in "lean"
The network TUM.wood is a cross-disciplinary collaboration of seven professors involved in wood-related research. Hermann Kaufmann and the leanWOOD project is one of them. Alongside his international Team he is developing models that precicely coordinate each process needed in prefabricated timber construction.

Smart furniture can help the elderly to remain independent and keep them living at home longer. Thomas Bock, director of our Chair of Building Realisation and Robotics, is working on furniture wich can monitor a persons health or even can be able to locate and fetch objects.
