Presentation and discussion
Workshop on the "Gender Equality Tech Tool"
Event location
Online
Target audience
publically
Most universities and the media have set themselves the goal of reporting on women to the same extent as on men and without stereotypes. But is this always successful in everyday work? How visible are women in top positions actually in the public?
A research team from the Chair of Strategy and Organization has developed the Gender Equality Tech Tool (GETT), which evaluates texts quantitatively and qualitatively and visualizes the results, so that editorial offices can analyse their own reporting. Research institutions and the media can use it free of charge.
In the W:Science Workshop on the Visibility of Innovative Women, the team will show how the tool works. In addition, the researchers will present the first study results on the reporting of cooperating editorial offices evaluated so far.
Additional information
- The development of the tool is part of the research project "Strukturelle Erhöhung der Sichtbarkeit von Wissenschaftlerinnen an Universitäten, Forschungseinrichtungen und in klassischen und digitalen Medien (SESiWi)" of the Chair of Strategy and Organization.
