The climate killer - How CO2 can be avoided
On October 23, 2023, the Straubing Sustainability Talks will be held for the first time at the TUM Campus Straubing (TUMCS) - a new joint format of the Hochschulstadt Straubing e.V. and the TUM Campus. The central topic is dealing with CO2 and what mankind can do to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The event will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Stufenhörsaal U7 of the TUM Campus Straubing at Uferstraße 53. More info: Straubing Sustainability Talks

TUM Advent Matinee: Free tickets for students
Get free tickets now for TUM's big annual concert at the Isarphilharmonie on December 3, 2023 at 11:00 am. Music by George Gershwin and Florence Price, among others, will be performed by the TUMChoir and the Symphonic Ensemble Munich. Tickets will be raffled among all registrations. Registration for the raffle is open until October 25, 2023 at Matinee and Vivat TUM.
TUM Student Club Fair 2023
Under the motto "Get inspired - get involved", around 100 student clubs and TUM partners will be presenting themselves on October 25, 2023 in the Magistrale of the Mechanical Engineering Building on the Garching Campus. Interested students and employees can get information about the activities and projects of the groups while enjoying snacks and drinks, and get to know the teams behind them - and maybe even get involved themselves. Enigame, the TUM puzzle hunt
For all those who love puzzles and like to think logically and out-of-the-box: TUM's online scavenger hunt enigame will take place from October 27 to 30, 2023. Test your wits and solve the mysteries surrounding Eni's dance. Teams of up to ten people can take part. More info: Enigame 2023
iTEAMS program: Exploring commercial potential
New program offers students and scientists the opportunity to explore and analyze the commercial potential of novel technologies developed at TUM. Interdisciplinary teams investigate the necessary steps to market maturity. Weekly lectures and workshops provide background knowledge, e.g. on communication and interviewing. Learning languages in tandem
Learning in tandem is a method that allows two people to learn each other's language in an autonomous and flexible way. Registration for the "TUMtandem" program, which matches language tandem partners within TUM, is open until October 31, 2023. More info: TUMtandem
EuroTeQ Collider: „Enhance connections”
Share your ideas and initiate the next EuroTeQ Collider, a challenging learning format from EuroTeQ Engineering University. This time the focus is on "Enhance connections". What do connections mean to people, how can they be improved for a sustainable future? With your ideas you will help to design real challenges that learners can work on in an international and diverse team. Study abroad with TUMexchange
With TUMexchange, Bachelor's and Master's students from all disciplines can go abroad for one or two semesters to study at selected partner universities outside Europe. From October 17 to 31, 2023, applications are open for study abroad programs in the winter semester 2024/25 and summer semester 2025. More info: TUMexchange
Study (online) at European partner universities
The new EuroTeQ course catalog 2024 is available. The online courses of the partner universities DTU, TU/e, L'X, Technion, TalTech and CTU take place from January to August 2024. You can choose from current topics in engineering and business as well as language courses such as Machine Learning, Human-Computer Interaction, Agile Bootcamp, Project Management or French. New courses include Scientific Computing for Mechanical Engineering and Advanced Computational Fluid and Plasma Dynamics. Apply from October 20 to Nov. 24, 2023. More info: EuroTeQ Course Catalogue
Pass on your enthusiasm for computer science
she.codes is a team of female students and young professionals who together want to inspire girls between the ages of 11 and 14 for computer science. She.codes offers free (virtual) programming workshops and represents approachable female role models. Mental Health: TUM4Mind Action Weeks
How can mental health influence your success and satisfaction in your studies? Take advantage of the diverse range of offerings free of charge for TUM students, from relaxation and mindfulness workshops to interactive lectures on topics such as time and self-management, healthy media use, or dealing with exam nerves or depression. TUM4Mind will offer various online workshops in German and English from November 6 to 17, 2023, each morning and evening. Questions are welcome, anonymous participation is possible. Global Minds South Africa
How does the application process work at a foreign university or in a foreign company and what experiences can be made on site? The "Global Minds" seminars offer insight into life and work in cultures that you think you know from afar, but certainly hold surprises on the ground. Go abroad with Erasmus+
From December 1, 2023 to January 15, 2024 you can apply for an Erasmus+ exchange place in the academic year 2024/25. You will receive financial support for your stay abroad and pay no tuition fees at the partner university. Academic achievements made abroad can be recognized in consultation with your Faculty or School. On November 13 and 16, 2023, there will be information events on the procedure and application process, in German and English. More information: TUM Erasmus+
Semester Program International Campus Life
A highlight of International Campus Life in the winter semester 2023/24 will be the EU simulation "Zero Waste" on November 18, 2023. Here, EU decision-making processes can be experienced first-hand, negotiating leeway can be explored, and structures at the European level can be understood. As of now, the weekly language café is also back at all three major TUM locations, and ESN TUMi invites you to the bi-weekly country evening. Each evening is hosted by a different country with its cuisine and culture. More info in the TUMi App.
Film series DIVERSITY in the winter semester 2023/24
Together with the HFF, the TUM Language Center shows international films with German or English subtitles. Afterwards, there will be the opportunity for discussion. Admission is free.
