Isarweg Freising:
Finding inner peace
The design of the path and its places was fleshed out at the TUM Chair for Landscape Architecture and Industrial Landscape. The meditative sites were designed by the students too.
Nature from a different angle
In total, there are nine benches at special locations. They are labelled with terms such as "Gemeinschaft" (community/companionship) or "Frieden" (peace). In front of every bench, there is a metal frame of about 1.60 m in height that serves as an "optical aid". Why not take a look at nature and landscapes from a different angle?
The "Meditative Isarweg" was initiated by the religious communities of Freising and implemented by the City of Freising, drawing on EU-funding. In the second phase of the project, the frames are currently being given their artistic finishing touch.
