A team of the Junge Akademie will be taking part in the Streetlife Festival to present some of the TUM’s scientific research – on May 5 and 6, 2018, at the booth on Professor-Huber-Platz. There will be lectures, discussions, and exhibits. More information: StreetScience at the Streetlife Festival
Stress and depressions during a course of studies
It’s time to break the silence and talk: “Stress und Depression im Studium” is a panel discussion, organized by the Junge Akademie and the Nightline München e.V. – on May 8, 2018 (starting at 7:30 pm; language: German) at HS 2770 at Main Campus. Four speakers are invited: Klara Schuster from the Mobile Advice Center of the Studentenwerk München, Alain Kathola from the TUM’s Service Office for Disabled and Chronically Ill Students, Dr. med. Béatrice Zahn, assistant physician at the Clinic for Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy at the Klinikum Rechts der Isar, and Marcel Bischofberger, who had to cope with depression for three years during his studies. ClimateLaunchpad
If you have a green business idea and want to get going, you might want to take part in ClimateLaunchpad, the world’s largest green business ideas competition. It includes an intensive boot camp as well as coaching measures to help you develop your idea before introducing it in the scope of a national pitching event in Munich. The three best ideas will then compete for a cash prize and a ticket to the Climate-KIC Accelerator (worth € 105,000 in total) at the international Grand Final in Edinburgh. Journalist training alongside a course of studies
Three years of journalist training – free of charge – alongside a regular course of studies, offered by the Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists (Institut zur Förderung publizistischen Nachwuchses, ifp) in Munich: The application deadline is May 31, 2018, and the training will start in spring 2019. International Day on Main Campus
2018 is a special year: TUM is celebrating its 150th anniversary – and the International Day will take place on Main Campus for the first time. A central element of the event is a fair in which international students present their home country, enabling TUM students to gather valuable first-hand information for a course of studies or an internship abroad: June 20, 2018, in the enrollment hall. The information events of the TUM IC (German and English) will take place from 11:30 am to 1 pm, followed by the international fair from 1 pm to 4 pm. More information: International Day 2018
