In the event series Meet & Talk, Alumni share experiences of their young companies. This time with start-up tozero. Get insights into the personal story of the company and have an open exchange with CEO and co-founder Sarah Fleischer about her experiences as well as possible steps towards founding a company. tozero: Recycling of lithium-ion batteries

Founded in July 2022 by Sarah Fleischer and Dr. Ksenija Milicevic Neumann, tozero is Europe's first start-up to recycle lithium-ion batteries. With the goal of closing the battery cycle in Europe: Through the innovative recycling process, all critical materials contained in the battery, such as lithium, graphite, nickel, and cobalt are recovered in a sustainable way and fed into local value chains. To this end, tozero has raised 3.5 million euros in a pre-seed funding round to build its first prototype plant in Munich.
