Discover and try things out: We invite you to experience research up close for a whole day.

Come to the Garching research campus and experience science in lectures, hands-on activities, guided tours and much more. Whether young or old, there are numerous activities for every one on this day: students, staff and external guests. In addition to TUM, many other research institutions such as the Max Planck and Fraunhofer Institutes will be taking part in the day of action.

We are also taking part in the nationwide "Doors open with the Mouse" campaign day: some of our open day programmes take place as part of the Mouse Door Opener Day. What is the state of AI and robotics technologies in healthcare? Come to the summit and join the discussion! The third edition of the Geriatronics Summit aims to bring together researchers from the fields of AI and robotics with care providers, the general public and stakeholders in the field of care for older adults and people with disabilities.

Program and registration

The summit is primarily intended to stimulate discussion and an exchange of ideas on AI and robotics technologies in the field of healthcare: How can we support the health, care and well-being of older people in a safe, ethical and trustworthy way? How can geriatronics improve carers and the community around the care sector?

The Geriatronics Summit 2024 offers the opportunity to network with international researchers and representatives from industry and the care sector - free of charge. There are only limited places available, early registration is requested.

The GARMI care robot is being developed by researchers at the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Research Center.
