Guideline

Founding at TUM

With our guide to the start-up process, we want to support those interested in founding a company as well as prospective founders in the context of their start-up at TUM. For other entrepreneurial activities, it serves as a guide to the start-up process at the TU Munich, especially for scientists.

Prerequisite

  • In order to take advantage of the support services offered by TUMentrepreneurship, please first register for the initial consultation at TUM Start-up Consultancy. Each request will be thoroughly reviewed. The team of experienced start-up consultants will then work with you to determine the next steps on your way to a successful start-up.

  • As a public institution, TUM supports you on your way to a start-up during the orientation, planning and early implementation phases. Start-ups already registered as a company are unfortunately not eligible for the support services of TUMentrepreneurship. In this case, our affiliated institute, UnternehmerTUM GmbH, will be happy to help you with its portfolio of services.

  • The support services of TUMentrepreneurship are open to all members of TUM. You can make use of services if you are a student, scientist, employee or alumni of TUM.
